Access Pay & Bill 2.0 allows you to place timesheets on hold for payroll and/or invoicing processing. This gives your team greater control over which timesheets are included in each processing run, reducing errors and improving workflow flexibility.

Bulk Hold and Unhold via Timesheet Search

The Timesheet Search page lets you select multiple timesheets and apply hold or unhold actions in bulk.

New columns on the Timesheet Search page

The following status columns have been added to the Timesheet Search results to give you full visibility at a glance:

  • Linked to Payslip – shows whether the timesheet is linked to a payslip.

  • Linked to Invoice – shows whether the timesheet is linked to an invoice.

  • Held From Payroll – shows whether the timesheet is currently on hold from payroll processing.

  • Held From Invoicing – shows whether the timesheet is currently on hold from invoicing processing.

  • Matched to Purchase Invoice – shows whether the timesheet has been matched to a purchase invoice.

Selecting timesheets

Each row in the Timesheet Search results now includes a checkbox. Select one or more timesheets to enable the Actions button, then choose the bulk action you want to apply.

Available bulk actions

  • Hold From Payroll – places selected timesheets on hold from payroll processing.

  • Hold From Invoicing – places selected timesheets on hold from invoicing processing.

  • Remove Hold From Payroll – removes the payroll hold from selected timesheets.

  • Remove Hold From Invoicing – removes the invoicing hold from selected timesheets.

Placing a Hold on an Individual Timesheet

You can also manage holds at the individual timesheet level directly from the timesheet record.

How the hold buttons work

The hold buttons on a timesheet record update dynamically based on the current hold status of that timesheet:

  • When the timesheet is not on hold, the buttons display as Hold From Payroll and Hold From Invoicing.

  • When the timesheet is on hold from payroll, the payroll button changes to Remove Hold From Payroll.

  • When the timesheet is on hold from invoicing, the invoicing button changes to Remove Hold From Invoicing.

The buttons always reflect the action that will be taken, giving you a clear indication of the current hold state at all times.
